Circadian Templates — Eight Layouts Without a Design System Library
Most personal developer portfolios follow an identical design formula: a dark-mode hero banner, a three-column card grid displaying GitHub repositories, and a generic contact form. While functional, this uniformity fails to showcase the breadth of creative problem-solving and architectural discipline that senior engineers bring to product teams.
When designing this portfolio, I wanted to explore an alternative concept: Circadian Design. The website dynamically transforms its entire visual personality based on the visitor's local time of day — transitioning across eight distinct design aesthetics from dawn to midnight. Building this architecture without drowning in third-party UI library bloat required a strict separation of domain data from presentation components.
The foundational rule of clean frontend architecture is separation of concerns. In this portfolio, the author profile, career chronology, technical skills matrix, and project case studies live as pure TypeScript data in `src/data/portfolioData.tsx`. Not a single HTML tag, style class, or layout coordinate exists within this data module.
